In the traditional rope access method, the mountaineer technicians inspect the tower. One of the largest disadvantages of this solution is the high shutdown duration of the turbines. In inspection with a drone, the shutdown period is 40-50 minutes. This way, more turbine inspections can be carried out in a day compared to traditional methods.

First, the work for autonomous fly is carried out on the field. After the turbine data are prepared for the flight, images are collected from the blades. Approximately 400-500 photographs are taken from a blade. Each turbine is photographed by inspecting 4 different surfaces of the turbine blade and 3 blades of the turbine without leaving any dead point.

The software process starts with ML. Hundreds of photographs of a turbine are taken and these photographs are analysed with ML. Thus, human factor errors are minimised.

The created reports can be accessed on Windlar Portal. This way all turbines, all blades and the damage type on any blade can be effectively monitored. At the same time, users can automatically view turbine-based PDF reports on the system and comment on these damages.

Yes, we have Denmark centred business partners expert in the wind turbine blade field. The collected images are filtered with machine learning and interpreted by blade experts.

Yes, to manage Windlar Portal software maintenance & repair processes more effectively, the system enables these changes.

How long are blade images stored on the system?2021-04-07T15:29:36+03:00

Damaged blade images and details are stored on the system for 1 year without additional fees. For long-term storage, we are offering annual plans.
